May 9 to May 16- Week 1-Home in Toronto & Vicinity

Around noon on May 9th we crossed into Canada at Fort Erie- the Peace bridge. At the Canadian border we had to register our car and declare all wordly goods we were bringing with us- only what was stuffed into our little Honda- LOL!!
Our first stop for a few days was at Uwe's brother's house in Burlington- just west of Toronto.

His brother's family backyard & pool- notice trees are barely green at that time.

After a couple of days spent trying to get our Canadian drivers' licences, and getting our car registered, we move on the Uwe's father's house in Broklin- just east of Toronto- no end to family we can stay with!

And here are Dad & Pat- our gracious hosts & their kitty, Simon

 We spent the day painting his back deck- had company coming from Germany- plus we had to work off our room & board- LOL

The next weekend we stayed at our good friends, Kathy & Igor in Ajax- again east of Toronto. We had a great diner cooked to perfection and another couple of their friends joined us .
